Content Creator on YouTube able to generate income through monetization program. How ever, income that generated will be decreased by Google in June 2021 to abide order from Federal Government of United States. YouTube has send an email notice "Upcoming tax changes to your YouTube earning" to content creator around the world about their renewed policy that they will deduct up to 24% of total earnings in early June 2021.
If they refuse to accept this policy by signing their tax info through Adsense, Google may deduct 24% flat of their earnings. For example, if they earn USD 1,500 from their YouTube channel, tax as high 24% will be deduct as result they will get USD 1,140 only. YouTube explained regarding this policy that how it will effect content creator that lives outside United States. This tax must be paid if only they get viewed from United State. Google will suspend around 0-30% earnings that generated by Unites States viewers.
In Malaysia, Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia stated that pers that generate income through reviewing product, or becoming an ambassador or advertising product through media have to pay their income taxes.
